PRODUCT REVIEW: “Valentines Furset” by Wen
♥ Click the image to try or buy the products.
The fur itself is quite well detailed, Wen is a rather new creator, though each fur she makes gets better and better as her skills improve, she can make both male and female fursets like this one, the soft detailing throughout the skin is well thought out and effective.
The ears are quirky and cute, though don’t really define what sort of creature this fur actually is (I think it’s a cat though)
The tail might be the only let down for me, It lacks definition the hair has, which is quite pretty :)
I just love this furset, it’s just so cute, the mixture of pink and cream, with the hearts, really does live up to it’s name as a valentine fur!
I’d give this furset a 4/5, love the colour combination, the pattern and subtle definitions.
Product Review “LilacDress” by AshlyHeartsCouture
First of all, I know she’s a new creator, and I encourage all people to keep pursuing creating as a hobby, practice makes perfect after all.
One thing experienced creators don’t like to see is recoloured parts of something that’s already made, in this case, the frills the mesher originally made are still there but have been changed to purple, whilst this is allowed, it is shunned upon because it shows the creator cannot make a texture for their own, if AshlyHeartsCouture had changed it, by adding more shadows, highlights or pattern, then it would be different.
Another thing about this dress is the top, I am pretty sure I’ve seen the pattern before on other creators products, taken off google or similar image hosting websites. Again, this practice is shunned, and sometimes in violation of copyright, if the original owner has no stated the pattern can be used for commercial use, or you haven’t personally got a statement from them allowing you to use it for commercial use, they can sue.
I don’t think the top and bottom match either…
Again, I don’t want to discourage new creators, but help them realise what is commonly acceptable or not in the community.
I’d be nice and give this a 1/5 for effort, or the lack there of. Icon needs to be made as well.

PRODUCT REVIEW : “Ocean” hair colour by Almost.
♥Click image to go to the ocean hairstyles in her catalog.
Almost messaged me on IMVU to do this for her.
I like the colour, in a general basis, I think it needs more highlights and more saturation, because it seems as though moved my mouse over my avatar that gives the unsaturated avatar before clicking on it (if you know what I mean, it’s when you hover the cursor over the avatar). Also, the shadows seem a bit to dark for personal taste, but I’ve seen textures like this do well in the catalog before. (see FreakyKiki and Ritsy)
The meshes Almost has used are really cute, and are ones I’ve considered doing but never got around to it. Again, I need to stress the market value of making icons before fully submitting your product, it allows a customer to see what they are purchasing before trying it on, and a good icon can lead to good sales!
Overall the teal-ish colour is really quite cute, I’d wear it for a mermaid costume or anime style. I give it a 3/5.

Product Review asked by Someone - IMVU
”.:S:. Navy” skin by Someone. (click the image to go to product page)
First and foremost, check out those hot mothers of lips, absolutely gorgeous, stunning and perfectly shaped and coloured. The eye make up is delish too!
Someone is always good when it comes to make up choices, her other skins are just as amazing with make up.
I also love the knees on this skin, the subtle realism to them is really great.
The tone itself however seems like clay, wet clay, the highlights and shadows also give me the impression the avatar was meant to be shoved into a kiln and heated up. I think the shadows and highlights are a little to dramatic and need more blur and blending into the skin for a more soft and realistic appearance that is currently desirable in the IMVU catalog. I’d also like to see a more defined collar bone and hand, to match the lovely definition on the face.
All up, the skin is quite pretty, could use some adjustments in the tone and highlighting and a few refinements in mentioned areas.
A hint for miss Someone, please do product pictures and icons before submission, with the new create mode allowing you to dress your avatar up with things you own easily, I don’t see the reason in not making product images unless your waiting to submit a whole bundle.
I give this skin a 3/5 stars, cookies, hearts or whatever tickles your fancies!

Product Review asked by Smiling on IMVU.
”$. Dansuer” skin by Smiling. (click image to go to product page)
First of all, I love this make up, the lips are absolutely adorable, and the eye shadow is smoking! The skin itself is great in parts and could be improved in others, I like the breasts and stomach very much, the collar bone is simple but brilliant on this skin, I’m not a fan of the belly button which looks like a tattoo, needs to be blended more into the skintone. The skin tone is a tad to orange for my personal liking, but I see many skins with tones like this selling well in the catalog, another thing I’ll point out though is there is several spots of different toning, the face seems darker than the body, and the front of the body appears to look lighter than the back. The hands and feet need more defining too, this skin would then be not to far from perfect.
In the end the skin is reasonably priced and well made and very wearable (there’s next to no seams in obvious places)
I’d rate this skin a 3.5/5, Smiling should continue her skin making but should make a few adjustments to make me really want what’s she got on offer!

I keep seeing people in the forums want the IMVU 2 Go app to be made for their phone carrier, well I have an iPhone 4, so I’ve been able to use it.
To be honest, it sucks really, it crashes more than the CPU client in chat mode (just for the record it’s not 3D like in client either, its like another instant messenger) the pulse mode rarely works when you try to update pulse or comment, it’ll just close the app or not post at all. The edit profile closes the app down, chats are ended if you temporarily leave the app to check something, messages sometimes won’t send and occasionally you can’t load a message completely and it crashes, the daily outfits only show the top 50 but it works and rarely crashes though it has a long loading speed, basically I’d only recommend it to people who will only want it to quickly use it, trying to use this in place of the actual client won’t work, it needs too much fixing! which should be done before putting it out on other phones!
Hope you’ve had a great day!

KisaTheCutie’s “RedemptionRedDress”
What I like about this dress is the Victorian-esque look to it, with the corset and the long layered skirt, the black and red complement each other well, the semi transparent front makes it a bit more risque than traditional Victorian, it looks great in photos, but has a slight clipping issue with the sleeves.
The photo will link you to the dress, the following link will take you to the full outfit.
